TerraCycle, takes our waste, products that would normally end up in the landfill, and they make useful items with them, an example is a backpack made from drink pouches, tote bags made from chip bags, and even coin pouch and iPad cases made from USPS tote bags!
TerraCycle is a company that outsmarts waste by developing innovative products using typically non-recyclable materials. TerraCycle’s products are high-quality, all-natural, affordable, and are made of recycled materials.
Do you have someone on your shopping list that love going green? That would love recycled and upcycled products? Then
TerraCycle is a site you NEED to check out.
With the Holidays quickly approaching, the last thing on most peoples minds is the waste that we will create. I was given an opportunity to review a couple of products made by a company called
Terracycle. With the way that most people think and not knowing how much my readers like to recycle or reuse, I was nervous about trying to think of a way to write up a post.
Terracycle allows you to send in your trash in exchange for a 2 cent donation to your choice of school or charity for each qualified piece of waste that you send in. Besides the cash payment option they have also added a number of other great ways to reward you and your teams for your collections.
Have you heard of TerraCycle? They make products that are of high-quality, all-natural, affordable, and made of recycled materials. Yes they diverted over two billion pieces of trash from going to the landfill. What a great idea and they have now partnered with the USPS.
TerraCycle’s entire line of products comes from recycled materials and can be found at Uncommon Goods. I received a dopp kit for my husband. He usually throws his toiletries in a plastic bag when we head out of town, but now he has a kit to store everything in and it’s made from upcycled tent material.
Are you looking for that perfect gift for the eco-friendly person on your holiday list? TerraCycle makes a huge range of products ALL from recycled materials! We were thrilled to sample some of them for MamaBreak!
There's no such thing as garbage at this company, which aims to revolutionize the recycling industry.
New Jersey-based TerraCycle's mission is to “eliminate the idea of waste” and it's been a profitable enterprise. The company expects about $20 million in revenue this year, according to founder Tom Szaky.
The
Terracycle Bear Naked reusable bag is made of nothing but canvas sewn into the plastic bags we eat from. It is just as durable as the one described above, but has an awesome design. Bear Naked also happens to be one of my favorite granola companies, so I can proudly sport it and support a company I really like. Plus, it's all about chocolate and anything chocolate I pretty much love by default.
I tested this baby out the first day I got it and it held much more than my original bag. It's much bigger than the other one. This is great for loading up on produce and I actually went overboard, because it fit so much that I had to use two separate bags. It was way too heavy.
