TerraCycle und Flying Roasters recyceln Kaffeeverpackungen

Durch die Zusammenarbeit von Recyclingunternehmen und Kaffeerösterei ist die 100%ige Wiederverwertung erstmals möglich

Kaffeeverpackungen ein zweites Leben geben: Das ist das Ziel der aktuellen Recyclinginitiative von Umweltunternehmen TerraCycle und der Kaffeerösterei Flying Roasters, beide ansässig in Berlin-Wedding. Die Kaffeeverpackungen werden dabei in sogenannten Zero Waste Boxen gesammelt, bevor sie einem Recyclingprozess zugeführt werden. So können sie erstmals zu 100% recycelt und von Müllverbrennungsanlagen ferngehalten werden.

Community Brief: Recycle old binders at Office Depot

Office Depot recently launched of its Binder Recycling Program, encouraging shoppers to help preserve the environment by recycling old binders through recycling company TerraCycle. Shoppers can bring any old empty binder to an Office Depot or OfficeMax retail location to be recycled. Customers bringing a binder to recycle will receive a $2 discount off a same-day binder purchase.

Jersey Fresh Graffiti Jam

In partnership with noted graffiti artists, Leon Rainbow and the Vicious Styles Crew, TerraCycle will host the 11th annual Jersey Fresh Jam, New Jersey’s biggest showcase of urban art and hip hop culture. As the largest Jersey Fresh Jam to date, this year’s festival will include all four performing elements of hip hop: MCing, DJing, graffiti, and breakdancing.

L'Oréal Australia has partnered with TerraCycle to launch a collection and recycling service for consumers. Beauty and personal care packaging from any company can be taken to a collection point and recycled for free. "TerraCycle's focus is taking traditionally unrecyclable products and making them recyclable to divert as much waste as possible from landfill," Tom Szaky, founder and CEO of TerraCycle, told The Huffington Post Australia.
