Jersey Fresh Jam in Trenton brings together artists from all over the country

For the fourth year in a row, graffiti artist Mimik and The Fresh Collective out of Elizabeth have come to the Jersey Fresh Jam to do what they love — spray paint walls with magnificent creations. “You get to meet a lot of people,” Mimik said of the free event at TerraCycle that features graffiti artists, break dancers and hip hop artists from around the country. “It’s a culture base back in the day ... a return to the past.”

TerraCycle to host Jersey Fresh Graffiti Jam

Recycling company TerraCycle is hosting the 11th annual Jersey Fresh Jam, New Jersey’s biggest showcase of hip hop art and culture, Saturday, Aug. 6. In partnership with Trenton based graffiti artists, Leon Rainbow and Vicious Styles Crew, TerraCycle is providing their Trenton headquarters, 121 New York Avenue, as a canvas for talent around the country to express their artistic freedom.

Jersey Jam includes art and music

Once a year, artists come from around the world to participate in the Jersey Fresh Jam in Trenton.
TerraCycle provides its headquarters as a canvas for the artists to express themselves and transform the wall space.
In partnership with artists,Leon Rainbow and the Vicious Styles Crew, TerraCycle will host the 11th annual Jersey Fresh Jam, New Jersey’s biggest showcase of urban art and hip-hop culture, on Saturday.
The block-wide festival will feature over 50 artists mostly from the New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey tri-state area, with special guests coming from San Diego, and Washington, D.C. Visitors will be able to experience over 40,000 square feet of live painting, with live music being performed throughout the festival.

Leon Rainbow and Will Kasso Talk the History of Jersey Fresh Jam

This week, Trenton365 had Leon Rainbow and Will Kasso on the program to talk about the Jersey Fresh Jam, which will be back again for its 11th annual event on August 6 at TerraCycle in Trenton. They not only break down the history of the Jam, but the importance of Graffiti in both the art world and the culture of hip-hop. Trenton's been doing this, but it's always good to sit down and look back at the journey.
