If you have a cereal killer in the house, you can definitely take advantage of it this month. Through the end of October, a joint promotion between TerraCycle and the MOM Brands Cereal Bag Brigade will let you turn those empty cereal bags and cereal bag liners into a cool gift.

The Aquarium will weigh the collected wrappers, sort according to recycling viability and send the wrappers to a recycling partner, TerraCycle. TerraCycle creates recycling systems for hard-to-recycle waste, turning trash to treasure in the form of new products like park benches, purses and backpacks.

Tiffany is the Chief Design Junkie at TerraCycle where she designs new products from what most people consider garbage. She has her Masters in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute where she developed her thesis "Trash Nouveau - Reincarnating Garbage into Usable Products."
