SOMETIMES we need a little extra incentive to encourage us to recycle – and shopping at brands with recycle schemes is one way to find this. The Body Shop just started asking customers to return empties in store for TerraCycle to collect, recycle and transform for use making park benches and playgrounds.

 

Thank you to all the families who recycle items through the Terracycle box in the office – so far, we’ve recycled almost 2000 pieces, raising $80.60 in the process.

TerraCycle repurposes cases, containers, dispensers, tubes and bottles from items such as lipstick, mascara, eye shadow, shampoo and conditioner, bronzer, foundation, body wash, hand soap, lotion, shaving foam (no cans), powder, body lotion/cream, lip balm/gloss, face soap, face lotion, concealer and hair styling products.

In honor of Good Day Philadelphia's Recycling Week Event, TerraCycle was featured as a part of a segment highlighting our Brigade partnership with Garnier in the Personal Care & Beauty Brigade!
