Recycle Everything – Recycling Tips

TerraCycle makes affordable, eco-friendly products from a wide range of different non-recyclable waste materials. Capri Sun – Honest Kids juice pouches can be recycled by Terracycle as can Candy Wrappers, Starbucks Coffee bags, Zip Loc Bags, pens, Cookie Wrappers, Colgate toothpaste, and more. Yes this is more involved, so try to get your local community or school involved.

Outsmart waste this Fourth of July with Terracycle®

The Fourth of July is the holiday of holidays for the US-of-A (or at least should be) considering the infinitesimal impact the Declaration of Independence had on the formation of our country and venerable status in which we hold those revolutionary patriots and our Founding Fathers. But, I don’t mean to give everyone a history lesson on the birth of our country and ramble on about the philosophical, societal, and political significance of those events (although some could use a brush-up concerning the facts and events leading to the formation of our country, mostly just those self-aggrandizing and media-flunky politicians who often misquote and miscomprehend). Sorry, I watched too many news channels this past week.

Recycle Your Flip Flops Into Playgrounds With Old Navy & TerraCycle

TerraCycle <http://www.terracycle.net/>  is launching a new campaign with Old Navy next week called the Flip Flop Replay just in time for Earth Day. From April 22 through May 21 you can drop off used flip flops at any Old Navy store in the U.S. Then TerraCycle will recycle the flip flops into four public playgrounds at different locations around the country, marking the first large-scale effort to collect and recycle flip flops. TerraCycle has led the recycling charge with several successful programs <http://www.inhabitots.com/terracycle-backpacks/>  in the past including recycling Stoneyfield yogurt containers into toothbrushes, razors and more. Beyond flip flop recycling, you can join in on one of TerraCycle’s other “Bridgades <http://www.terracycle.net/brigades?locale=en-US&show_all=true> ” by sending in wrappers, corks, containers, electronics and more.

Turn Trash Into Treasure

In lunch rooms across the country, tons of wrappers, juice pouches, and yougurt cups are tossed away every day... But you can keep that trash out of our landfills by sending them to Terracycle. They turn "trash" into pencil cases, tote bags, and backpacks. So cool right? So ask your teacher if you and your classmates can start a recycling team. Go to Terracycle.net to fond out where to send that lunchroom trash.

Are your flips flopped out? Recycle em!

I don’t know about you, but my rubber flip-flops have a solid summer in ‘em…and then they’re toast. Instead of chucking them in the trash, this year you can take them to Old Navy stores nationwide. The chain will be accepting donations from Earth Day, April 22, through May. The worn-out flip-flops will then be given to TerraCycle, who will recycle them into rubber playground footing for several communities across the U.S. Race ya to the swings!  Keep your eye out for collection bins and start givin’ back, babes.
