Another major selling point for me is that with every purchase Tom’s of Maine gives 10% of profits back to helping people and the planet. They also say no to animal testing and do not use animal ingredients. Their packaging is recyclable through local municipalities or the TerraCycle Tom’s of Maine Natural Care Brigade. In addition to deodorant Tom’s of Maine is also the leading natural personal care brand that makes high quality natural toothpaste, mouthwash, dental floss, deodorant, bar soap and baby care products.
UPS provides logistics solutions for customers whose focus is on enabling the circular economy, such as TerraCycle, who reuse, upcycle and recycle waste instead of incinerating or sending to landfills. This moves waste from a linear system to a circular one, allowing it to keep cycling in the economy. TerraCycle offers free recycling programs around the world to help people collect and recycle hard-to-recycle waste — such as wine corks and juice boxes.

The Lancaster Drive elementary school won for being a top collector of traditionally non-recyclable air and home care waste such as trigger heads and spray bottles.

One more thing I really love about Tom’s of Maine is their fully recyclable packaging through local municipalities or the TerraCycle Tom’s of Maine Natural Care Brigade. I think it’s so great that they not only offer natural products, but packaging that can be easily recycled too. If that wasn’t enough, they also give 10% of their profits back to helping people and the planet!
After successfully recycling 94.6 per cent of waste from last year’s marathon, the event has paired up with Ontario-based upcycling company TerraCycle, a company that has become a global leader in recycling hard-to-recycle waste. They take the waste and transform it back into consumer products ranging from backpacks, lunch bags and park benches, to zirconia pendants and planters.
