Green Streak: Recent Environmentally Products And Procedures

As the first recycling solution for anaerobic adhesives, Henkel and TerraCycle partnered to give customers the option to use a postage-paid recycling box to fill with empty Loctiteadhesive containers. The package goes to TerraCycle, where the containers are thermally treated, then turned into new plastic products. Companies interested in participating should contact their local Loctite distributor or visit Henkel’s recycling page.

Urbana summer camp starts recycling pilot program

The potato chip bags and Capri Sun pouches are part of specialized recycling programs run by TerraCycle, a company based in New Jersey. Richardson ships boxes packed with the recycling material to the company’s processing center. The program is free, and the company has used recycled materials to produce new goods, such as pens made from recycled pens. The company has about 5,000 recycling customers in Maryland, according to TerraCycle spokeswoman Lauren Taylor.

Recycle Pet Food Bags at Ventura Grain

Musicians can trade in old strings for new at upcoming event

Local musicians are invited to attend a free recycle and restring event at Chesbro Music in Idaho Falls on Saturday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event is sponsored by D’Addario, and musicians can bring any old instrument strings for recycling and get their electric or acoustic guitars restrung with D’Addario NYXL or Nickel Bronze Acoustic strings. Old strings collected during the event will be recycled through Playback, D’Addario’s free, national recycling program.

Pet Pantry is A Drop Off Location for Recycling Program

While pet owners often consider the impact packaged pet food has on their pets, the same consideration is not often given to the impact it has on the environment. By teaming up with TerraCycle, Earthborn Holistic pet food bags are now recyclable through the Earthborn ReBorn Recycling Program, a free, national recycling program. Pet Pantry Warehouse of Greenwich is a public drop-off location for the program, allowing Greenwich residents to return their empty bags during store hours and aid in the reduction of local landfill waste.
