New Zealanders can save used oral care items from landfill and join a nationwide competition to help raise funds for a local school, club or community group.

You've heard of the tooth fairy. How about the toothbrush fairy? One company is hoping to be just that with the return of a nationwide oral care product recycling drive. TerraCycle, which specialises in recycling the hard-to-recycle, is calling on schools, clubs and community groups to keep old toothbrushes, toothpaste tubes and floss containers out of landfills by donating them for reuse.

Oatley Public School participates in a unique recycling and fundraising opportunity in partnership with Terracycle (www.terracycle.com.au). For each approved item received, we receive Terracycle points which can be redeemed for funding towards our school (2 points/item = 2 cents).
