Jersey Jam includes art and music

Once a year, artists come from around the world to participate in the Jersey Fresh Jam in Trenton.
TerraCycle provides its headquarters as a canvas for the artists to express themselves and transform the wall space.
In partnership with artists,Leon Rainbow and the Vicious Styles Crew, TerraCycle will host the 11th annual Jersey Fresh Jam, New Jersey’s biggest showcase of urban art and hip-hop culture, on Saturday.
The block-wide festival will feature over 50 artists mostly from the New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey tri-state area, with special guests coming from San Diego, and Washington, D.C. Visitors will be able to experience over 40,000 square feet of live painting, with live music being performed throughout the festival.

Leon Rainbow and Will Kasso Talk the History of Jersey Fresh Jam

This week, Trenton365 had Leon Rainbow and Will Kasso on the program to talk about the Jersey Fresh Jam, which will be back again for its 11th annual event on August 6 at TerraCycle in Trenton. They not only break down the history of the Jam, but the importance of Graffiti in both the art world and the culture of hip-hop. 7 Surprising Materials Being Used to Make Pallets

With an estimated 45 million cigarette smokers in the U.S., there should be enough butts to generate a lot of pallet material. TerraCycle, a company that has built a business model around helping companies to find solutions for dealing with difficult to recycle materials, says that it harvests old cigarette filters to make products such as pallets. Filters are made from cellulose acetate, a key ingredient of plastic.
