TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - When you come to the Toledo Zoo, you're usually coming to see the elephants, tortoises, or the new baby giraffe. But now, you'll have a new reason: recycling.

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. -- Volunteers and community members alike will show up in various Jackson County communities on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 8 a.m. - 11 p.m. for the 29th annual Mississippi Coastal Cleanup.

Even if you hand out eco-friendly candy, chances are you or your kids will receive tons of traditional candy wrappers. Traditional candy wrappers are rather difficult to recycle because of the “size, weight, and material mixture.” One solution is to recycle these little wrappers in bulk.

TRENTON, N.J.—TerraCycle Inc., the global leader in recycling hard-to-recycle waste has been named a winner of a United Nations Momentum for Change Lighthouse Activity award.

Global: A bottle made completely from post-consumer and ocean-reclaimed plastics has been launched by Procter & Gamble (P&G) for its flagship Fairy brand of washing-up liquid. The aim of the project is to ‘drive awareness of the issue of ocean plastic pollution, inspire consumers to physically participate in beach clean-ups and recycle household waste’, according to the company.
