One of the problems that cities face is that product packaging often does not come in recyclable containers. With this in mind, cities are beginning to talk with package producing companies about “increased producer responsibility.” IPR is the idea that companies make a much more concerted effort to use recycled materials for their packaging in order to increase the market demand for those products and/or produce packaging that can be recycled through conventional markets. Look for the tour vehicle parked at the Walmart location on Cockrell Hill Road in Dallas starting today, Thursday, May 26 and tomorrow Friday, May 27 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Garnier is kicking off a packaging collection and recycling program with TerraCycle. They have also announced 'Pure Clean', a new biodegradable hair care line. Take any of your hair care, skin care or cosmetic packaging to the tour vehicle to be recycled by TerraCycle and score some free samples of Pure Clean!
