DEN HELDER - Weggeefwinkel Overvloed, Seringenlaan 32 in Den Helder heeft een team dat meedoet aan de landelijke Frisse Lucht Wedstrijd. Dit organiseert Ambi Pur en TerraCycle als onderdeel van het Huishoud Recycling Programma. De weggeefwinkel maakt kans op de hoofdprijs van 300 euro of een andere geldprijs. Hiervoor dienen zij zoveel mogelijk lege huishoudmiddelen op te sturen voor 31 juli. Voor elk lege flacon dat wordt opgestuurd, ontvangt de winkel een financiële bijdrage. Om zoveel mogelijk huishoudmiddelen te verzamelen, heeft de weggeefwinkel een speciale inzamelbox staan. Iedereen in Den Helder en omgeving kan een bijdrage leveren. Deze actie maakt het mogelijk om verpakkingen van huishoudmiddelen te recyclen. In heel Nederland zijn teams actief, die op deze manier een concrete bijdrage leveren aan het milieu en de maatschappij. Alle ingezamelde lege huishoudmiddelen worden op innovatieve wijze verwerkt tot nieuwe duurzame grondstoffen en producten. Initiatiefneemster Jill Voysey is blij met de inzamelingsactie: “Wij als weggeefwinkel hebben natuurlijk geen inkomsten, maar wel uitgaven. Met de opbrengsten van deze inzamelactie kunnen wij onder meer het gas en elektra betalen. We hopen dat we de hoofdprijs winnen in deze wedstrijd!”

Henkel, a manufacturer of adhesives, sealants and functional coatings, including the Loctite brand, is partnering with TerraCycle to become the first company to offer a recycling solution for anaerobic adhesives. Through the Adhesive Recycling Program, Henkel customers can purchase a postage-paid recycling box that they fill with empty Loctite adhesive containers and send to TerraCycle for processing. TerraCycle will thermally treat the containers and turn them into new plastic products.
