By collecting used snack bags from foods such as The Hain Celestial Group's Garden of Eatin'A snacks, TerraA chips or any other brand, the community organization has helped to divert more than 7,000 units of snack bag waste from landfills, while also earning money for their school or charity of choice.

Livingston St. The items will then be sent to TerraCycle, a company that takes hard-to-recycle items and turns them into products like cutting boards and trash cans.
Salem pioneers cigarette butt recycling program: “Whoever thought you could recycle cigarette butts? But you can, and Salem will soon become the first community in New England to do so by teaming with TerraCycle’s Cigarette Waste Brigade. Up to 200 receptacles bearing stickers that read “Recycle Your Butts Here” will be placed across the city in the coming weeks to provide an easy way to reduce a prolific form of littering, according to city officials, and help keep Salem’s streets a little cleaner."
On Saturday, October 25, the ReFresh Project will host a Preview Party and Community Farm Ribbon Cutting, an event in celebration of the project’s first place win in the first-ever national Garnier Green Garden Contest.
