Depuis trois ans, les élèves de l’école Sainte-Anne s’investissent dans des opérations de collectes pour recyclage. Avec l’aide de l’entreprise de recyclage TerraCycle, ils collectent des gourdes (compote et crème dessert), des capsules et emballage aluminium de café et instruments d’écriture comme des stylos à bille, marqueurs, surligneurs, feutres, etc.

By engaging with local beach cleanup NGOs and collecting over 120,000 pounds of beach plastics last year, TerraCycle was able to separate, clean, melt and remold beach plastic “waste” into raw material for the world’s first recyclable shampoo bottle made from beach plastic for Head & Shoulders. Prescott Elementary wins $20,000 for playground upgrades
Prescott is not the only elementary school in the city working to improve a playground. McNichols Plaza Elementary School is also in a contest to win a $50,000 recycled playground.
