Did you know Terracycle accepts oral care products for recycling?

Dental Week is 7 – 13 Aug and we will collect any of the items listed below for recycling.  Please bring to the August group clean.

Recycling company TerraCycle Australia is calling on businesses to expand their recycling options beyond the yellow-lidded bin. The US-based company has designed a Zero Waste Box solution that it says is easy-to-assemble and accepts various waste streams.

We shudder to think how many cracked, expired, half-used beauty products we’d find under your bathroom sink. Enter TerraCycle, who’ve teamed up with L’Oreal Australia to set up the Beauty Products Recycling Program.

Before you bin your old, manky-looking toothbrush, stop and think of your Griffith University library. Why on earth for, you ask? Well, we’ve partnered with TerraCycle to recycle oral care packaging.

Toothbrushes and associated packaging can be recycled by TerraCycle in Australia.

Napier Central School is part of the national TerraCycle scheme which recycles products previously not recyclable, including tooth brushes, tooth paste tubes and yoghurt pouches.

At EcoMatters you can even drop off your old toothbrushes and toothpaste tubes! Once we have a box full we then send them to Terracycle New Zealand. TerraCycle was founded in the States to recycle or up-cycle traditionally non- recyclable waste.
