Used flip flop collection: Shoppers at Old Navy stores can deposit their used flip flops in collection bins found inside any Old Navy store. TerraCycle, an international upcycling and recycling company, will then recycle the flip-flops into playgrounds which will be donated to communities around the country. By bringing in these hard-to-recycle products to their local stores, consumers help keep waste out of their community landfills.

Community Park Students Are Finalists In National Eco-Product Design Competition

Before we proceed, you need to drop everything and vote.  No, we're not talking about the school budget, Borough Council mayor, Township Committee candidates or prospective School Board members.  We're talking about Community Park School fifth graders Leah Bakoulis, Ashlyn Liverman, and Madeleine Peel, whose creations comprise 50 percent of the finalists in the recent nationwide Eco-Product Design Contest sponsored by Elmer's Products and TerraCycle.

Garnier is making greener strides. The L'Oreal-owned brand announces an exclusive partnership with TerraCycle, a green company specializing in making consumer products from post-consumer materials. Garnier is now providing a comprehensive solution to personal care and beauty packaging waste – no small feat considering that personal care and beauty products account for 1/3 of all landfill waste.
