Congrats to Cedar Ridge Elementary for placing second in the country in Capri Sun Recycling Contest through a company called TerraCycle.

Dixon Elementary is a participant in the Capri Sun Milestone Contest and is in the running to win a playground by collecting and recycling used drink pouches. The contest is hosted by Capri Sun and TerraCycle. The school has collected 111,373 units to date and hopes to be the first to reach the 200,000 mark to win the playground made from recycled materials.

Dixon Elementary hopes to win a playground in the Drink Pouch Brigade Milestone program with TerraCycle. To win they just need 200,000 more pouches and they have collected 110,000 pouches so far.

Woodridge Elementary School students have earned $1,100 for the school by collecting more than 10,000 drink pouches. The school competed in TerraCycle and Capri Sun’s Drink Pouch Brigade contest. The program rewards people who collect and send their waste to TerraCycle to be recycled or upcycled.

There are a lot of ways to raise money, but school districts are getting smarter and clever in how they go about doing it. Such is the case with students at Yake Elementary School who figured out a way to soak up the sun — Capri Suns to be more specific — while earning several hundred dollars all at the same time.

Since launching the Capri Sun Recycling Program in March 2014, the middle and upper school campuses have collected and shipped a combined total of about 70,000 Capri Sun containers for recycling

Recycling drink pouches has earned Greenwood Christian Academy students money for their school. Students collected 10,000 drink pouches for the TerraCycle and Capri Sun’s recycling program.
