Q: What is the Clothes The Loop program?
Mott: Clothes The Loop is an apparel and footwear recycling program The North Face debuted in select retail stores including New York, San Francisco, Seattle and Chicago, this February. Customers can bring in their unwanted clothing and shoes, regardless of the brand or condition, to a participating store and deposit the items in special collection bins. Deposited items are sent to reprocessing facilities where they are hand sorted and designated to be re-sold, broken down for re-use or recycled into new raw materials. In return for helping to reduce apparel waste, customers receive a voucher for $10 off purchases of $100 or more.
