Through a unique arrangement with TerraCycle, empty Open Farm bags can be recycled rather than added to a landfill. Registering with TerraCycle is easy and free. You can also earn points for merchandise or your favorite charity by returning empty bags to TerraCycle for credit.
Terracycle is the leader in recycling non-recyclable waste. To recycle your empty Open Farm bag, all you need to do is return it to any LBC location. The bags we collect will be picked up by Terracycle who will then turn them into items like shopping bags or park benches.
One brand, Open Farm, is partnering with
TerraCycle to close the gap. You can collect the Open Farm Pet Food packaging,
download a UPS label from Terracycle’s website and ship them off to be recycled. Although TerraCycle’s newest partner, Open Farm, is launching the first Ethically Raised and Sourced dog food, they’re apparently the ONLY brand they’ll take for this brigade.
More and more consumers are making life choices to become “ethical eaters”. Ethical eaters strive to choose foods that minimize harm and are protective of the environment, consumers, farmers and all those involved in food production and distribution.
Canadian import Open Farm dog food continues to up the ante; its plastic packaging is now nationally recyclable in the U.S. through TerraCycle, a Trenton, N.J.-based recycler and manufacturer of consumer goods from traditionally non recyclable waste.
Open Farm, the first ethically raised and sourced pet food, is making its packaging nationally recyclable through a program with
TerraCycle. After launching in Canada in 2014, Open Farm is now available in U.S. pet stores nationwide and the plastic bags are recyclable through TerraCycle. Open Farm is also partnering with TerraCycle Canada to operate a similar program.
