Roxbury Schools Celebrate Earth Day

In honor of Earth Day last Sunday, two Roxbury Schools celebrated the day through sustainable programs.
The Eisenhower Middle School Builders Club with the assistance of club advisors, Elizabeth Tucker and Marie Pessolano celebrated the day by cleaning up Eyland Avenue. This club is the middle school version of Kiwanis, Key Club, K-Kids which meets every two weeks after school and does community service projects.
At the elementary level, Franklin School did its annual earth day poster contest based on the Earth Day Network theme. This year’s theme is to stop plastic pollution and the marine animals.
