I’ve never watched “Jersey Shore,” but I think if I were going to watch a trashy show set in New Jersey, I’d go with “Garbage Moguls.”
Trenton, NJ’s TerraCycle tries to save the planet one discarded item at a time, making new products completely out of trash. This Saturday, National Geographic will air three all-new episodes of “Garbage Moguls.”
From the TerraCycle news release: “Led by Princeton University drop-out and worm poop connoisseur Tom Szaky, the show follows TerraCycle’s team of young ‘eco-capitalists’ as they brainstorm, argue over, go dumpster diving for, and eventually create new products that help solve America’s waste problem.”

MTV's Jersey Shore is no longer the trashiest New Jersey-based reality show on television thanks to a new series premiering this weekend. Garbage Moguls will hit the air Saturday, August 21 on the National Geographic Channel as the trashiest of all reality shows...literally!
Garbage Moguls will take "an inside look at the zany way" TerraCycle, develops products made completely out of trash. Led by Princeton University drop-out and worm poop connoisseur Tom Szaky, the show follows TerraCycle's team of young "eco-capitalists" as they brainstorm, argue over, go dumpster diving for, and eventually create new products that help solve America’s waste problem.
This Saturday, National Geographic will be airing the pilot along with three brand new episodes! Set your DVR’s – plan a night in with friends – but don’t forget to watch Garbage Moguls this Saturday night. The fun begins at 7pm ET as they replay the original pilot episode, followed at 8pm’s Pet Project, 9pm’s Fishy Business, and at 10pm pull an All-Nighter with the TerraCycle crew.
Earth Day 2009 TerraCycle premiered Garbage Moguls on National Geographic Channel and now it's back! On August 21st it's back! Catch three all-new episodes back-to-back at 8:00, 9:00, and 10:00 p.m. EST (check your local listings).
You will get an inside look at TerraCycle's team facing new challenges as they find ways to keep more items out of the landfill.

You all already know how important I feel it is to do our part to make the environment a big priority in our lives and in the lives of our children. I mean we all want there to be an actual planet here for future generations, don't we? So, in my quest for a better environment I came across what may just be the coolest program....TerraCycle.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE TerraCycle. I can talk anyone's ear off about TerraCycle! Back for season two, National Geographic channel's "Garbage Moguls" aims to do more than just turn doggy junk into doggy toys. TerraCycle wants to "upcycle" your mind.
One man's trash is another man's ... idea for a TV show?
Garbage Moguls, the show where one little company turns trash into "upcycled" consumer goods, is back for season two. Episodes 1, 2, 3 and 4 will air on the National Geographic channel on Saturday, Aug. 21 from 7:00-11 p.m.
I have written about TerraCycle before… They are an innovative company that takes “Garbage” like wrappers, juice box containers (like Capri Sun, I could never get those open without making a mess as a kid) and take them and make something new with them without remanufacturing the materials.
This Saturday on the National Geographic channel they are airing a 3 part documentary about the company and some of the creative projects they have embarked on. TerraCycle is led by Princeton University drop-out and self defined “worm poop connoisseur” Tom Szaky, the show follows TerraCycle’s team of young “eco-capitalists” as they brainstorm, argue over, go dumpster diving for, and eventually create new products that help solve America’s waste problem.
