“We were one of the very first groups to sign up with TerraCycle.” According to Michael Baumann, public relations intern with TerraCycle, the company takes “difficult-to-recycle packaging and turns them into affordable innovative products.”

Students at Owendale-Gagetown High School, who are among the top collectors of snack bags in The Hain Celestial Group Snack Bag Brigade, a free, national recycling program created by The Hain Celestial Group Inc. and TerraCycle.

The next time you polish off the potato chips, think of that empty bag not as trash but as someone’s treasure, because it surely is welcome at Pinecrest High School. The Pinecrest High School Student Environmental Association has actively been reclaiming those crumpled masses of plastic and foil and recently also collected acclaim from a national recycling organization for its efforts.

Students at Siple Elementary School are among the top collectors of snack bags in The Hain Celestial Group Snack Bag Brigade, a free, national recycling program created by The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. and TerraCycle. By collecting used snack bags from foods such as The Hain Celestial Group’s Garden of Eatin’ snacks, Terra chips or any other brand, the students have helped to divert more than 21,000 units of snack bag waste from landfills, while also earning money for their school or charity of choice.

Members of the Student Environmental Association at Pinecrest High School are among the top collectors of snack bags in The Hain Celestial Group Snack Bag Brigade®, a free, national recycling program created by The Hain Celestial Group, Inc. ® and TerraCycle®. By collecting used snack bags from foods such as The Hain Celestial Group's Garden of Eatin'® snacks, Terra® chips or any other brand, the Student Environmental Association has diverted more than 53,800 units of snack bag waste from landfills, while also earning money for their school or charity of choice.

Students at Salisbury Christian School are among the top collectors of snack bags in The Hain Celestial Group Snack Bag Brigade®, a free, national recycling program. By collecting used snack bags, the school has helped to divert more than 9,800 units of snack bag waste from landfills, while also earning money for their school or charity of choice.

Students at a Forsyth County middle school are among the state's top collectors of snack bags in a national recycling program. Liberty Middle's environmental club led the school's effort in The Hain Celestial Group Snack Bag Brigade, a free program schools can join to promote recycling and gain funding to keep or donate.
