An effort is underway to keep discarded cigarette butts off Youngstown's streets and instead turn them into shipping pallets, ashtrays, and other plastic goods.
TerraCycle, which collects and recycles waste, has joined forces with the city, Green Youngstown and Youngstown CityScape to collect and recycle cigarette butts throughout the city.
