OCEAN CITY — A $2,000 grant is expected to further the resort’s efforts to install cigarette disposal containers to the west of the Boardwalk. Smith added that the businesses, as well as the town, would be able to package the cigarette butts and send them to TerraCycle, which will pay the shipping costs.

In addition to the weight-savings, the package is fully recyclable. “The outer corrugate box can be easily broken down and put into curbside recycling. The inner bag will be recyclable through our partnership with TerraCycle,” Kinney explains.

Public recycling may not have caught up, but almost everything is technically recyclable. Local musicians are invited to attend a free recycle and restring event at the Brass Bell Music Store in Glendale, WI on Saturday, Nov 24, 2018from 10:00:00 AM - 4:00 PM. Sponsored by D’Addario and TerraCycle, musicians can bring any old instrument strings for recycling and get their electric or acoustic guitars restrung with D’Addario NYXL or Nickel Bronze Acoustic strings. Old strings  collected during the event will be recycled through Playback, D’Addario’s free, national recycling program.
