Earlier this spring, the Mississauga, Ont.-based company teamed up with acclaimed international recycling leader TerraCycle, Inc. to create a free cross-country recycling program Canada for Henkel’s bestselling Sunlight and Purex brands of plastic detergent pouches.

The containers, produced as part of recycling company TerraCycle’s Loop initiative, will at first only be available to customers shopping online. Loblaws will also pick them up and clean them once customers are done. While there’s no set date for the in-store launch, it’s expected to be later in 2020.

Any adult or organization can sign up for free to become a collector, and once a shipment is ready, print out a free shipping label that UPS then picks up.
