In addition to recycling all acceptable materials that are collected by the Melrose DPW on a weekly basis, the Roosevelt School has formed a partnership with TerraCycle, which collects and recycles items, such as drink pouches, juice boxes, ink cartridges and writing instruments, that are not picked up by the city. The school also recycles its Styrofoam trays through ReFoamIt and expired markers through Crayola.
