Watermelon Music and The D’Addario Company would like to give out free strings for guitars, bass guitars, mandolins or ukuleles. Local musicians may simply bring in a stringed instrument from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, with at least two non-perishable food items, and the staff will install a brand new set of D’Addario strings and tune and polish the instrument (The limit is limit two instruments per household). All food received will be donated to Davis Community Meals, helping people in need during the holiday season.
