TerraCycle Billboard Messenger Bag Review and Giveaway

TerraCycle <http://www.terracycle.net/>  is truly an amazing company.  I thought what they do was really neat the first time that I heard about them.  When I saw their bags, totes, and back packs at Walmart, I thought they were the cutest products!  You may have seen them yourself.  Have you seen the cute M&M bags or the Capri Sun totes and back packs?  Those are the workings of TerraCycle <http://www.terracycle.net/> !  Just check out some of their products below!

Yak Pak Messenger Bag

The Yak Pak Messenger Bag is made of upcycled billboards by a collaboration between Yak Pak and Terracycle. The perfect shape for back to school.  No two are alike. Vinyl billboards aren’t recyclable but they can be repurposed into nearly indestructible products — which is why this Yak Pak bag comes with a lifetime warranty. The company is USA based, but the bags are made in a green, hydroelectric-powered facility in El Salvador where workers are paid fair wages.  Yak Pak bags cost less than $35 each, making fashion affordable and supporting businesses that are doing right by their employees.

Green Fashion Monday: Backpacks, Formerly Billboards

It’s back-to-school time, so make sure the young people in your life are equipped with a backpack that helps preserve the future for them – and looks cool too. TerraCycle’s durable “Billboard Amped Backpack” ($24) which is made of used billboard vinyl (and a reclaimed seat belt), helps advertise that they care about the planet. It’s also water-resistant, comes with a lifetime warranty, and is made in El Salvador. Since each pack is unique, however, you won’t know which color you’ll get until you get it.

BlogMania Sponsor Spotlight: TerraCycle

A few weeks ago when I was contacted by TerraCycle <http://www.terracycle.net/> , I really had no idea who they were. When I read the press information that they sent me, I was really intrigued. TerraCycle <http://www.terracycle.net/>  collects garbage and comes up with some interesting ways to recycle it. Now I am all about the entire upcycle craze. I repurpose as many things as I can in our lives. I reuse old sweaters to make diaper covers, I repurpose my old clothes to fashion new things for Coraline, I diligently save every glass jar that comes into this house; everything has some second use around here. So, TerraCycle <http://www.terracycle.net/>  seemed super cool to me. I browsed the entire TerraCycle <http://www.terracycle.net/>  website checking out what they do, how they do it and decided they totally fit into what I wanted to do for BlogMania. I was thrilled when they agreed to be a BlogMania sponsor for The Girl Is A Mom.
