Recycle. Research your township or municipality’s rules for what can and cannot be recycled, and just do it! You’d be surprised what can be recycled. Look for the recycling label on the bottom of all items before tossing in the trash. And if you can’t recycle with your township, look into organizations like Terracycle that will accept your leftovers! Build a compost bin. This will significantly reduce your household waste. Between our recycling and composting, we only have to put the trash out to the curb about once a month.
